Hilaroo currently runs day camps in the LA-area that take place at a donated venue where dogs are brought in from a rescue partner and children are brought in via their partnership with Child S.H.A.R.E. The children and animals are matched in a program that seeks to change the lives of both souls through regimented and proven schedules of therapy, responsibility training and team-building activities.
The camps are capped in size to ensure every youth gets specialized, one on one attention with close oversight by trained therapists.
Eventually, The Hilaroo Foundation hopes to expand to include after-school and tutoring programs. Long-term plans include hosting overnight camps that will allow youth to stay on property for an extended period for week long summer camps.
